Josh holding a candle

Jeez. What a letdown. Being in Tampa, I knew for about a week that Wilma wasn’t going to hit us directly, but I kinda wanted to see some shit flying around. Some rain and wind. Boring. Anyhow. At 2 in the morning on the 24th, our power went out briefly. Being horribly dependent on technology and such, me and k.t had to find something to do.

With the candles and flashlights going, we made some shadow puppets onto pieces of paper. This is what I converted a simple outline into. Weird.

I think it was hurricane Ivan or Francis or one of the hurricanes last year that hit Near Panama city, we drank all night and cooked food all night and it was great. There was not a grill in the area that was not roasting some kind of meat products. We also loaded up on the MREs and free ice for the beer from FEMA. We played football at the school across the street, played lot s of cards, We went three days with no power but it was great it was like a crazy Carnivale.

Can you believe my website is still up? I keep thinking of making a new one then I say fuckit I already have one.

Bush is forever saying that democracies do not invade other countries and start wars. Well, he did just that. He invaded Iraq, started a war, and killed people. What do you think? How does that work in a democracy again? How does being more threatening make us more likeable?Isn’t the country with
the most weapons the biggest threat to the rest of the world? When one country is the biggest threat to the rest of the world, isn’t that likely to be the most hated country?
Our country is in debt until forever, we don’t have jobs, and we live in fear. We have invaded a country and been responsible for thousands of deaths.
The more people that the government puts in jails, the safer we are told to think we are. The real terrorists are wherever they are, but they aren’t living in a country with bars on the windows. We are.
