Hey gang. I’ve been gone a while. I’m moving this here blog thing over to my lifewithouttaffy.com domain. I effed up the import and I’ve been spending the last couple weeks trying to fix everything. It all looks okay now, I reckon. Please update your bookmarks accordingly. This site will remain, but will not be updated.
About the new site:
While I tried to keep this site relativley PG-13, the new one will probably be a hard R. Not necessarily cocks everywhere, but I do have a bit of a potty mouth.
With near unlimited space, I will be posting bigger images of my artwork and crap from my also transfered Photo Retch photoblog. I will also be posting a bunch of multimedia stuff like videos and musick.
The main page is a shared table of contents thing with my girlfriend kt’s page (check her stuff out too if you’d like) and our comick.
The actual location for the blog is http://www.lifewithouttaffy.com/taffy/blog
See you there.

Me and k.t. finally got issue one of our comick No Outlet done. While not printed up yet, I thought I’d throw up a little preview for the dozen or so fans of my work that are out there.
It starts out slow, but check it out and let me know what you think.

Here it is. The somewhat final front page thing for the No Outlet website that I’m working on. Yeah! I’ll let y’all know when it’s up as I’m gonna put the first 5-6 pages of the book up there.
Click here for a super-large version of this.

This is H.I, a confrontational pothead. He’s a huge troublemaker and knows where people’s limits are as to cross them.
His name comes from Nicolas Cage’s character in Raising Arizona but he looks like comedian Dave Attell‘s retarded little brother.
(The 4th part of a little series showing the making of a piece for the website for the comick me and k.t. have been working on.)
This is Tyrone. A thalidomide victim whose mother died during childbirth. He was adopted by an Asian family and taught martial arts which came in handy during school bullying sessions. He met Max in high school and works at a soda bottling factory.

(The third part of a little series showing the making of a piece for the website for the comick me and k.t. have been working on.)
This is Max. He’s the main character in the No Outlet comick. The heir to the vast Pegasus empire, he’s more than a little annoyed that his parents expect anything out of him. “Stoned Slacker” is a phrase that both annoys and describes him.
I’m coloring this a little less detailed than I usually do as I have to shrink this down quite a bit.
Coming next: Tyrone.

Here’s the finished inked artwork for the piece. I skipped the pencils as this is the same thing traced. So I drew them far enough apart so’s I can move them around and such. I think I’ll end up moving Max to the middle so I can have him saying something to H.I. about the bong or something. The more I draw these characters, the goofier they seem to get. Max’s hair gets more and more ridiculous every day. Like he’s gonna end up on Dragonball Z one day.
Next up: colors!
